A small, shabby-looking inn on Charing Cross Road, London, sandwiched between a big book shop and a record store. The Leaky Cauldron my not actually be in Diagon Alley itself, but it does serve as a "bridge" between the two worlds. The pub was built by Daisy Dodderidge around 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley."

Manager is a bit brusque, but then he does have to deal with strange and bothersome things like books that bite (The Monster Book of Monsters), books that are completely invisible (The Invisible Book of Invisibility), and book signings by Gilderoy Lockhart, who draws quite a crowd which can get a bit unruly at times.

A narrow and shabby little shop. The window displays a faded purple cushion upon which sits a single wand. The walls are lined floor to ceiling with thousands of narrow boxes. The furniture consists of a single spindly chair. Come inside and find your wand today! The shop is owned by Ollivander, arguably the best wandmaker of his generation.

No New Posts Gringotts Wizarding Bank

Wizarding bank with extreme security. The staff isn't too friendly, but they get the job done. Part the way down Diagon Alley, near its intersection with Knockturn Alley, is a tall building constructed of white marble. This is Gringotts Wizarding Bank, an imposing place guarded by goblins, where witches and wizards keep their money and other valuables in vaults located miles and miles below ground. It is rumored that the goblins of Gringotts employ the likes of dragons to guard some of the high security vaults.

The walls are covered with cages and the place is noisy with the sounds of all the animals. She offers advice and sells things like rat tonic. Other creatures for sale included enormous purple toads, poisonous orange snails, gigantic tortoise with jewel-encrusted shell, a fat white rabbit that changed into a top hat and back, cats of every color, custard-colored furrballs, noisy cage of ravens, sleek, black rats, rather more intelligent than normal rats, and many other animals. Come inside and see what the store has to offer!

A shop bursting with a full stock of any cloak or robe you could imagine. Madam Malkin is a squat, smiling witch wearing mauve robes. Hogwarts school robes are to be found here. During one summer sale, they sold robes which are spangled, self-ironing, beautifying, slimming, fattening, lengthening, temperature-adjusting, and plain, with a free frog-skin belt with every purchase.

Diagon Alley
"Harry wished he had eight more eyes.... There were shops selling robes, shops selling telescopes and strange silver instruments Harry had never seen before, windows stacked with barrels of bat spleens and eels' eyes, tottering piles of spell books, quills, and rolls of parchment, potion bottles, globes of the moon...."

Diagon Alley is a wizarding street and shopping area located in London, England behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. Inside the alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights. All items on the Hogwarts Supply list can be bought at Diagon Alley. The alley is completely hidden from the Muggle world which is right outside of its boundaries.
