Its soft carpet is a pale yellow and scattered around the room are dark mahogany tables and clusters of squashy armchairs with cosy settees. A elaborate marble fireplace is always burning in its hearth casting a warming, golden glow in the commonroom. Around the room, beautiful tapestries decorate the walls, some showing the proud Hufflepuff symbol, the badger. Beautiful windows complete with black velvet drapes look out onto the lake and countryside beyond.
