STOP READING THIS RIGHT NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T READ ALL 7 OF THE BOOKS YET![/size]
S'cuse the MASSIVE font but I wanted to give people a fair warning just in case they wander onto this thread without meaning too and see something that ruins the books for them...believe me Ive done it myself by accident...
Anyways SO out of all of JKRs death scenes which ones shocked you the most? We lost a lot of important characters over the years, which ones affected you the most?
Okay so I have four deaths which really shocked me, I completely didn't expect them at all.
4. DOBBY! OMG I had to double read that bit just cause I seriously didn't see it coming
3. The sad sad day when we lost Sirius! It actually made me cry! I couldn't believe it when I read it and I was completely convinced he'd make some sort of ghostly comeback later on because I just couldn't believe she'd kill him off like that..alas she did...
2. Dumbledore, the thing that shocked me the most here was that I just couldn't believe Snape had been the one to do it, with Dumbledore being so sure he was on our side I just couldn't belive it (this is what I thought pre-DH of course) that one really knocked me sideways!
1. FRED!! OMG THIS ONE DEVASTATED ME! I cried again and just refused to believe he was dead! That one shocked me the most out of them all! I couldn't register it at first! I felt so terrible for George, I just couldnt help getting upset!
What about you guys?

Oh, I got upset by these deaths!
5. Sirius- I really liked Sirius and he so seemed like he was supposed come out alive in this series! OH GOSH, I really couldn't get over it.
4. Hedwig- This was seriously unbelievable, she had been Harry's faithful Owl throughout the whole series and J. K. Rowling just kills her off. *Sob*
3. Moody- This was even worse! Like Sirius, he had seemed like he was supposed finish the whole series and he literally gets knocked off. How tragic!
2. Dobby- I really loved the House-Elf and it struck me hard. At least, he died a hero.
1. Dumbledore- I couldn't read this page because it just knocked the wind out of me. I respect J. K. Rowling still but she almost got me sobbing because of this.

Oh my gawd. Here are the ones that made me cry.
7. Colin Creevey- I just think it was so awesome how he found a way back into Hogwarts and died for his hero.
6. Bellatrix LeStrange- I did cry for her because the idiot almost killed Ginny than was killed by Molly Weasley! She was my absolute favorite Death Eater ever because she was absolutely insane.
5. Hedwig- I thought that this was absolutely unneeded! Poor Hedwig! And then Harry was so effing sad and stuff.. How rude.
4. Sirius- I agree with Ron! I thought he would make some sort of comeback because he was the only living family of Harry's [that he actually could stand].
3. Snape- Aww. Poor Snape. I actually didn't mind before I read the part where he was actually on the good side, then I instantly flipped back to the part where he died to try to make sense of it, but I cried.
2. Dobby- Think about it. Think about the way she wrote it, and you would cry too. Enough said.
1. Fred- I also agree with Ron on this one because of the way JKR wrote it. It was just sooo sad!
"And Hermione was struggling to her feet in the wreckage, and three redheaded men were grouped on the ground where the wall had blasted apart. Harry grabbed Hermione's hand as they staggered and stumbled over stone and wood."
"'No- no- no!' someone was shouting. 'No! Fred! No!'"
"And Percy was shaking his brother, and Ron was kneeling beside them, and Fred's eyes stared without seeing, the ghost of his last laugh still etched upon his face."
Just that part made me cry. I was like.. Okay, so what? And then I read that part and I started bursting out in effing tears.
Also. Did anybody else cry when George's ear got cut off by Snape, or was it just me?

OMG Snape's death! That was epically sad and Hedwig! Aaaaawww! I hate to sound nasty but I was sooooo happy when Molly killed Bella! She was an awesome Death Eater, deffo one of the ones I liked but I HATED her too! I laughed when the George ear disaster happened just cause of the stupid jokes he made about it:
"How do you feel Georgie?" whispered Mrs Weasley. Georges fingers groped for the side of his head. "Saint-like", he murmered. "Whats wrong with him?" croaked Fred, looking terrified. "Is his mind affected?" "Saint-like", repeated George, opening his eyes and looking up at his brother. "You see...I'm holy. Holey, Fred, geddit?" Mrs Weasley sobbed harder then ever. Colour flooded Fred's pale face. "Pathetic!", he told George. "Pathetic! With the whole wide world of ear-related humour before you, you go for holey?" "Ah well" said George, grinning at his tear-soaked mother. "You'll be able to tell us apart now, anyway, mum"
And this bit too: "Well at least we got you back OK", said George. "Why aren't Ron and Bill huddled round my sickbed?"

-Dumbledore. I first read it with my dad and he would read aloud out of sort-of tradition and constantly joked about Harry, Ron, or someone else dying in the middle of the books. But my dad read Dumbledore's death with all seriousness. It was a total shock when my brother asked, "Did he really just die?" and my dad said yes. My jaw dropped and I nearly started crying. Yeah. Depressing.
-Dobby. It was a true "Wait, what just happened?" moment, in a sad way. I actually cried.
-Cedric. During the 4th book I liked him, despite the fact that he was competing against Harry etc, but I was truly freaked out by his death. I was really confused too, wondering why he got killed out of the blue like that.
-Fred. Nuff said. I wrote a poem about his death for English class
-Hedwig. How much do I have to say? I don't think anyone expected that one.
-Mad-Eye. To me he always seemed invincible, like nothing could ever touch him. And when it finally registered to me that he was dead, it was like a sledgehammer slammed my heart for a good minute or two.
