[ooc. sooo I decided to take Luna's advice and post my EX. as s thread finally. but I didn't know were to put it...so I just settled on putting it here XD tell me if it bothers anyonee]
Ginny was sitting on one of the comfy, red, armchairs in the Gryffindor common room, absent-mindedly stroking Hermione’s cat as she gazed into the fire. It was very late; the common room was empty with the exception of her, Crookshanks, and one other student who was desperately trying to finish up a potions assignment. As late as it was, Ginny was not a bit tired and did not even bother going up the stairs to her dorm. She wished there was someone to talk to, she was getting quite lonely, but she remained in her chair, humming quietly to herself.
Eventually, she got fed up with the silence and stood up, moving Crookshanks carefully off her lap and onto the arm chair. She had to get out of the common room, but where to go? As she brushed the cat hair off her, she focused on finding the perfect place. The one place she wanted to go more than anything was the lake. She could picture it now, the nice gentle breeze and the calm, dark waters. It seemed to be calling her, but she had to be careful, getting caught would be quite disastrous for both her and Gryffindor’s house points.
Maybe she should find another place. She tried to think of somewhere else to go but all she could think about was the lake. Finally she decided she was going and crawled through the portrait hall, ignoring the disapproving looks from the Fat Lady as she continued on her way. Ginny couldn’t help but smile, she loved the rush she got whenever she would sneak out but this time was different. Normally she was about to persuade her current boyfriend or a group of friends to come with her, but this time she was alone. She looked to make sure the seventh floor corridor was clear and then she hurried down the hall, trying to remember where the secret passage to the fourth floor was.
Ginny couldn’t remember where it was and despite how much she racked her brain she still couldn’t think. She decended down a flight of stairs as fast as she could and darted into the six floor corridor. She knew she couldn’t just take the stairs the rest of the way down, far too risky, and she would be caught for sure. Letting out a small sigh she continued to think, not really paying attention to where she was until she nearly collided with a statue of armor. She jumped back, blushing a bit as she relized where she was, at the entrance to the hidden hallway her brothers had informed her of. Before she could register what she was doing, she heard angry footsteps behind her....
